National partner with local roots to boost premier event

Westbridge Funds Management announced as Naming Rights Partner for the 2026 AusCycling Road National Championships

AusCycling is proud to announce Westbridge Funds Management as the naming rights partner for the 2026 AusCycling Road National Championships, marking an exciting new chapter for one of the nation’s most prestigious cycling events.

One of Australia’s trusted property investment companies, Westbridge Funds Management will take centre stage as presenting partner of the 2026 Westbridge Funds Road Nationals, which will feature Australia’s top level elite men’s and women’s road races.

Westbridge operates nationally, in line with the event’s nation-wide reach. However their head office is based in Subiaco, perfectly positioning the brand to support an event that not only celebrates sporting excellence but also highlights Perth’s reputation as a world-class destination for major events.

The 2026 Westbridge Funds Road Nationals, held in Perth from January 7–11 2026, will bring together Australia’s top cyclists and para-cyclists as they battle for the coveted green-and-gold national champion’s jersey.

Across five days of racing, competitors will take on three challenging courses showcasing the best of Perth’s inner city, with Kings Park once again providing an iconic backdrop to the country’s most prestigious road cycling event.

Building on the success of the 2025 event, which was Perth’s first time hosting the Road Nationals, attracting more than 3,000 competitors and 50,000 attendees from around Australia, AusCycling is set to deliver another unforgettable festival of cycling that engages athletes, fans, and the broader community alike.

AusCycling CEO Marne Fechner welcomed Westbridge Funds Management as the new naming rights partner for the 2026 event.

“The Road Nationals is one of the most important events on our calendar, and to partner with an industry-leading national organisation with strong Western Australian roots is incredibly valuable,” Ms Fechner said.

“As we continue to build towards the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and Paralympics, this partnership enables us to deliver a world-class experience for thousands of participants and spectators who come together each year to celebrate the sport of cycling.”

Westbridge Funds Management chairman Damian Collins said the partnership was an investment in community and a celebration of values that resonate across Australia.

“Perth’s inaugural hosting of the Road National Championships last year was an incredible success, with 50,000 people lining Perth’s streets to see Australia’s best talent, along with generating more than $9 million for the WA economy,” Mr Collins said.

“Our business helps clients across Australia build their future, and our significant presence in Perth gives us a unique perspective on this event’s national importance.

“Supporting this championship connects us with a discerning audience that appreciates the discipline required to achieve significant goals while investing in a premier event that both energises our hometown and engages a national audience.

“Successful real estate investment demands endurance, strategy, and careful positioning for long-term growth and we see that same philosophy play out on the road.

“We were inspired last year seeing Luke Plapp sacrifice his own chance of winning the elite men’s road race to support his teammate Luke Durbridge for a hometown victory - that’s what true success looks like: smart strategy and teamwork to achieve a collective goal.”

Durbridge, together with Perth cyclists Ben O'Connor and Sophia Sammons, took to the finish line location in Kings Park with Westbridge Chair Damian Collins this week to celebrate the news.

“It’s amazing to have a homegrown company like Westbridge Funds Management throw its support behind RoadNats as the naming rights sponsor for next year’s event," Durbridge said.

“Having the national title in my home town means so much to me. Last year it was incredible to see the local community come out in force, lining the streets and cheering us on, and to win the title on home roads is something I will cherish forever.

“It fills me with great pride to see how the whole of Perth has got right behind this event, and I think it shows just how strong cycling is here, and around Australia.

With Perth confirmed to host the championships until at least 2027, Westbridge Funds Management is committed to this new era of cycling in Western Australia.

“We look forward to seeing this fantastic event shine on the national stage and will be proudly supporting the athletes, the fans, committed to the road ahead,” Mr Collins said.

The festival will include a mass participation ride and the Steadyrack Gran Fondo National Championships, giving everyday cyclists the chance to share in the excitement of Australia’s premier road cycling festival.
