Patrick Eddy of team Brennan, Australian elite men road race champion, poses with bicycle on the podium of the Westbridge Funds Road National Championships in Perth with a rainbow arching above him and the Perth skyline behind.

The Westbridge Funds RoadNats Perth returns in January, bringing five days of elite road cycling to the streets of Perth and giving fans and riders more ways than ever to be part of the action.

From 6–10 January 2027, Australia’s best cyclists will go head-to-head across Perth, battling for the coveted green-and-gold jerseys and the honour of being crowned Australian Champion.

Across five days of racing, the Westbridge Funds RoadNats Perth will showcase the very best of Australian road cycling: from the race against the clock in the time trials, to the electricity of the the criteriums in Northbridge to the weekend’s championship road races.

In 2026 it was hometown hero Mackenzie Coupland who won the women's road race crown, and underdog Patrick Eddy who raised his arms first across the line in the elite men's road race.

But you don’t have to be an elite cyclist to experience the Westbridge Funds RoadNats Perth from the saddle.

For 2027, there’s a new way to ride the Gran Fondo on January 10.

Whether you have your sights firmly set on the green and gold, chasing a new personal best or you are just out there for the fun of it - there’s a challenge waiting for you with two options on offer: long course and short course.

The long course is your race to chase a national title. Tackle six laps of the same course the elite riders race on.

For those wanting to enjoy the Gran Fondo at a more relaxed pace or push for your own personal best, the short course is 2 laps of the same elite course.

This is your chance to be part of the atmosphere surrounding Australia’s premier road cycling championships.

Ride for the green and gold. Ride for the challenge. Ride because you love cycling.

Whatever your reason, Choose Your Challenge for this year’s Gran Fondo and make the 2027 Westbridge Funds RoadNats Perth an experience to remember.

With elite racing, mass participation and the best of Perth on show, January is set to be a celebration of Australian cycling both watching the nation’s champions compete and getting out there to take on your own challenge.
