The first national champions of 2026 have been crowned on a warm but windy morning in Perth.
58 teams of four riders contested the Club Team Time Trials as the curtain-raiser of the Westbridge Funds Road National Championships.
The teams raced on road bikes over two laps of the Bold Park circuit within the Town of Cambridge and the City of Nedlands for a total of 19.2 kilometres.
Just as they did last year, the Open Men's team from Penrith Cycling Club led the way, setting the fastest time of the event. The team of Tom Leaper, Peter Wakefield and father-and-son Peter and Lindon Milostic were the only team to go under 27 minutes.

The South Perth Rouleurs squad of Amanda Nabi, Claire Rapson, Alejandra Rojas and Anthea Stacey set the fastest women's time of the event at 32 minutes.
Masters riders will have their next opportunity to compete for their clubs on Friday in the Club Criterium Challenge in Northbridge.
