Sep 19, 2024

Perth-based bike rack manufacturer Steadyrack will be the naming rights partner of the Gran Fondo National Championships under a new partnership with AusCycling announced today.

The Western Australian company will give its name to the 2025 Steadyrack Gran Fondo National Championships, which will be held in its hometown this January as part of the AusCycling Road National Championships.

The first 50 registrants in the Gran Fondo will receive a free Steadyrack bike rack, whose innovative design allows riders to hang their bicycles vertically in a space-saving storage solution that requires minimal lifting.

All registrants will receive a 15% discount on purchases on the Steadyrack website.

Steadyrack, which is family-owned and operated, launched in 2009 and is recognised globally as the premium storage solution for bikes. Its products are installed in a wide variety of locations around the world, including homes, offices, end-of-trip facilities, apartment buildings and hospitals.

Kate Patterson, Executive General Manager of Commercial at AusCycling, said, “We are delighted to announce Steadyrack as the naming rights partner of the Steadyrack Gran Fondo National Championships.

“We’re especially thrilled to be working with a company born and bred in Perth, the new home of our national road titles. This local support will be critical to the success of the event, and we look forward to showcasing Perth, Steadyrack and our top Aussie riders to a national and even global audience in January.”

David Steadman, CEO and Founder of Steadyrack, said, “We are really excited to be partnering with AusCycling as the naming rights partner of the Steadyrack Gran Fondo National Championships in our hometown of Perth in January.

“Our brand is uniquely Western Australian, so we see it as a perfect fit for us and a great way to support cycling in Australia and WA. We are looking forward to the event and we are sure the move to Perth will prove to be a huge success.”

The Steadyrack Gran Fondo National Championships is the pinnacle annual event for recreational road cyclists in Australia. It will be held on January 12 on the same course as the elite road race national championships, which start and finish in Kings Park.

Entries for the 2025 Steadyrack Gran Fondo National Championships will open next Tuesday, September 24 at 10:00am AWST (12:00pm AEST).
